Strawberry jam recipe
I made jam in small quantities (small pantry, many plans). At 2 kg of strawberries I put 1 kg of sugar. I like sweet sugar, you can reduce the amount of sugar if you want.
Wash the strawberries and strain the water. It is cleaned of the tail and if necessary it is cleaned of what is broken, soft, etc. Cut the strawberries into 2,4 or as many pieces as you want.
In a large plastic bowl put a row of sugar one strawberry, one row of sugar one strawberry, and so on until the strawberries are finished, and on top a row of sugar. Leave it like that until the next day.
In a large stainless steel bowl (preferably 6 liters) put the strawberries to boil over low heat. Clean the foam from above and let it boil for 2-3 hours, until the syrup is formed (a little thinner than honey).
After the strawberries were boiled, I left them in the pot for 20 minutes, during which time the jars were prepared.
Turn on the oven and let it heat up. Wash the jars with water and detergent and put them in the oven. After putting the jars in the oven, turn off the oven and close the door.
After 15 minutes, take the jars from the oven and with the help of a polish put the jam in jars.
Leave the jars uncovered until evening, and in the evening put the lid on and go to the pantry.
